The 2008 Lineup

There are so many wonderful bands to talk about, but Rudy Fest 2008 is so excited to welcome back after his death defying accident, Ernie Thacker with his great band Route 23. On April 18, 2008 Ernie Thacker was involved in a one car accident and nearly lost his life, it is indeed a miracle that Ernie is alive, and even more of a miracle that Ernie Thacker & Route 23 are back touring for the 2008 season and you do no want to miss his return to the Rudy Fest in June 2008.

Lonesome River Band Established in 1991 they have been a crowd favorite from their first performance. Seven time IBMA Vocal Group of the Year and Russell Moore is a two time IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year winner. The band has a long list of awards that are fan voted and peer voted.
Come and hear why IIIrd Tyme Out in one of America's favorite bands.

IIIrd Tyme Out Carrying The Tradition was release in 1991 and from that point on there was a new sound taking the bluegrass world by strom. The Lonesome River Band celebrated it's 25th Anniversary in 2007 and these days headed up by Sammy Shelor four time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year, the LRB is still a crowd favorite around the world and plays until the wee hours of the morning each year at the Rudy Fest.

Larry Cordle & Lonesome Standard Time A Rudy Fest favorite and dear friend to many, Larry Cordle brings back his bona fide "hoss cat" band to the Rudy Fest. "Cord" as folks sometimes calls him is one of greatest songwriters on the planet with folks like Garth Brooks, Ricky Skaggs, Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, George Straight and many others recording songs he's penned and sold to the tund of over 50 million records...not bad for a country boy from Blaine, Kentucky.

The GrascalsEarning the 2006 and 2007 Entertainers of the Year is a testament to their talents since they have only been on the national stage as the Grascals since 2005. Appearing on countless records and shows by so may artists from Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton, to the Osborne Brothers, these Grascals have a 'been there" and done that for others and now they are doing it on their own. Come to the Rudy Fest and see it for yourself.

CherryholmesOh how time flies. In a short period of time they became one of the most in demand bands to perform. One day they go to a bluegrass festival and less than six years later they win the biggie at IBMA, the 2005 Entertainers of the Year. You got to see them and hear them and then you will know why they won.

Lost & FoundSmooth vocal stylings by Alan Mills have been a trademark of the Lost & Found since the beginning. After the passing of Dempsey Young after defining the sound of the Lost & Found things are in good hands these days with Scott Napier on the mandolin,
